    ABOUT ME

    My name is Cindy Medrow and I have not always been the type of person that made my health and wellness a priority. In fact, eating right, sleeping well and exercising were very low on my list of things to do. I was busy living life and before I knew it the list of negative behaviors and lifestyle choices I had made was finally catching up with me. For decades I fueled my existence with fast food, caffeine and various other addictions that were taking their toll on me-mentally, physically and spiritually.

    ​

    I constantly found myself judging how I felt about myself on the inside by how other people looked on the outside. This only fueled my anxiety, depression and led to a very low self-image. In 2016 I decided that I became “sick and tired of being sick and tired.” Along the way, I had tried reading every self-help book available and every diet under the sun. I never found anything that was sustainable for the long term and eventually all my efforts failed. I was stuck on a never-ending roller-coaster ride of highs and lows. I wished for stability and consistency.

    For me, a healthy diet and nutrition came first. I realized that I could no longer be successful on my own and reached out to several people to inquire about what worked for them in gaining success with their health and weight loss goals. With their guidance and accountability, I was able to lose 50 pounds and have been successful at keeping it off for many years. I eventually started walking to incorporate some exercise into my life, which developed into a passion for running and overall physical fitness. This led me to earn my certifications as a Certified Personal Trainer and Sport Nutrition Specialist. I decided that I wanted to use my passion and love for helping other people to help educate, support and encourage others who also need motivation and support.

    Besides my certifications, I hold a bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management from the University of North Texas. I am a happily married 47-year-old woman living in Dallas, Texas with my husband and our beautiful cat named Kitty. Besides my passion for health and fitness, I enjoy reading, being outdoors, fishing, hiking and spending time with my family. I love country music, baking and watching sporting events-especially golf.
